Welcome to the 92nd Street Y Blog! ("92Y Blog” for short.) We’ve been working on this for a while and we’re excited to be up and running and live on the web.
So what’s the point of this thing? In a nutshell: To put some of things going on here at the Y into context. Every single day, more than 200 different programs happen in these buildings, for everyone from toddlers to octogenarians. We cover music, lectures, literature, theater, film, parenting, summer camp, fitness, education, community outreach and more—and that’s just before lunch. Many of the things that happen here are fascinating, and we want to tell you about them. It’s a lot to keep up with, but we hope this blog will act as a user-friendly gateway to the 92nd Street Y universe. We think it’ll make for interesting reading.
Check back often, and subscribe to our feed—the links in the “Syndication” box in the lower right will help get you started. You can also sort posts according to your interests with the links in the “Sort By:” box.
Your bloggers are Sean Flannagan and Andrew Krucoff, and we’ll have special guests pop in from time to time and more Y bloggers on board in the future. Shoot us an email anytime and let us know what you think. We crave feedback.
We hope you pick up something new here. Enjoy.
