Jenny Lin, on the faculty at the 92nd Street Y School of Music, recently recorded a 20 minute interview with Raymond Bisha of Naxos Blog, where we are treated to Jenny’s brilliant playing and an interview over the phone as Jenny was preparing for performances at the Winnipeg Musical Festival. Listen below, as Jenny talks about her teenage years with teachers and mentors, her first time encountering the work of György Ligeti, her conservatory training, working with living composers, and more.

José Limón’s first performed at the 92nd Street Y in 1936, returning a number of times. The program from that performance is at right, scanned from the archives (click through to view it large).
