TheaterScene.net’s Jeannie Lieberman is a ubiquitous presence on the Broadway scene and was in attendance at the premiere of the sold out Broadway Talks series with Liev Shreiber, a “fascinating evening” she wrote, and “ground breaking multi-evening conversation series.” (Shreiber, by the way, also spoke with Broadway.tv on camera before the event).
There was a big reveal of sorts when, reported Lieberman, Liev: “revealed his personal association with the Y, starting with his first job, a camp counselor where he met his first girlfriend….”

The first show is next week, Mar 17 at 92YTribeca, and is being hosted by Catie along with political activists/pranksters The Yes Men, Cabaret sensation Lady Rizzo and the Assetts, actor Maria Dizzia, College Humor CEO Ricky Van Veen and filmmaker and author Jen Marlowe.

NBC New York’s Niteside blog stopped by the 92nd Street Y last night to hear Karl Rove and reports: Rove corrected an audience member who referred to ex-veep Dick Cheney as “Darth Cheney” when asking a question.
“No, no, no, no, no. You’ve got it all wrong!” Rove quipped. “I’m Darth Vader, Cheney is [Emperor] Palpatine!”
