New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), is the nation’s largest provider of funding, information and services to individual artists. They awarded 131 NYFA Fellowships to 134 New York artists representing eight artistic disciplines—who were chosen from among over 3,600 applicants in eight categories.
Jonathan Wahl, Director of the Jewelry Center at 92Y, was a recipient this year in the category of Print/Drawing/Book Arts, after being named a recipient a few years ago in the Crafts category. Readers of the 92Y blog will recall that Jonathan is often recognized in print and by his peers for his work.
Our art classes and programs are well respected in the city with popular instructors, and state-of-the-art studios. You can watch a video to get a peek ’Inside our Jewelry Studios.’
For those interested, there are a number of jewelry classes and workshops still available for the semester. As well as classes in drawing, painting, ceramics, and more.
