With the presidential primary season coming to a close, it's appropriate that this week's 92Y Podcast features Geraldine Ferraro, former member of the United States House of Representatives and Vice Presidential candidate. As the first, and so far only, female to be on a Presidential ticket representing a major American political party, she brought a unique perspective to her talk "The Future of Women in Politics" recorded at the 92nd Street Y on February 20, 1991. In the audio clip above, her remarks about the possibility of a female president resonate powerfully today.
