Last year, as part of our Funny People series, comedian Richard Lewis sat down with MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann at the 92nd Street Y to offer incredibly humorous anecdotes about his life and career. In the video clip above, Richard speaks about Scientology, knowing Larry David, Bob Dylan, George Bush, writing jokes and more. On Scientology’s frowning on the use of pharmaceuticals, Lewis said:
Most of my friends take a little Wellbutrin, a little Paxil, they put a little provolone, they put it in the microwave, and boom...they say therapists are satanic, I have never seen my shrink, “oh you’re a little early” and stuffing his tail in his underwear!
We previously posted audio from the evening, where Lewis shares an improbable but true story of two White House visits, from a sleepwalking Nancy Reagan to a delicately situated photo-op in the Oval Office with Bill Clinton.
