Last night 92Y hosted The Daily Beast‘s Tina Brown, who moderated a discussion with author Christopher Buckley, Democratic Strategist James Carville, and host and co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.
We plan to post the full talk at a later date, but wanted to share some highlights, featured in the video above. They include Buckley pondering what press coverage of WWII and the invasion of Normandy would have looked like in the internet fueled 24 hours news cycle of today; Joe Scarborough on Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck; Carville opining that in politics, it only matters if you win; and an anecdote Tina shares about former EIC of Cosmopolitan magazine Helen Gurley Brown, specifically Gurley Brown’s opinion on sleeping with the boss.
