Behind the Music-al: Unfinished Business

Above is Mitch Dean singing Ewalt & Walker’s “Fat Old Men,” which he will perform on Monday, March 21 at 92YTribeca during Behind the Music-al: Unfinished Business. Behind the Music-al is an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the next generation of musical theater composers.

Emerging songwriters Adam Gwon, Randy Redd and Ewalt & Walker will discuss the songs that wound up on the cutting room floor, or are still being developed for new projects. Adam Feldman of Time Out New York will moderate. Joining them on stage will be an amazing cast of singers including: Nancy Anderson (Wonderful Town, Yank ), Jed Resnick (Avenue Q, Rent), Carey Anderson (Avenue Q, Mamma Mia), Gaelen Gilliland (9 to 5, Legally Blonde), Mitch Dean (Altar Boyz), Carrie Manolakos (Mamma Mia, Wicked and David Pittu (What’s that Smell: The Music of Jacob Sterling).

Watch video of Gaelen Gilliland singing “Get Out and Stay Out” in 9 to 5 and view a slide show of photos from past Behind The Music-al events.
