Bill Scheft and David Letterman Discuss the 92nd Street Y

David Letterman had comedian Bill Scheft on the Late Show Tuesday night (he used to be Dave’s head monologue writer), and discussed Bill’s new book Everything Hurts and his upcoming appearance on May 20 at the 92nd Street Y for our Funny People series. “That’s a good gig, isn’t it?” David asked. Scheft agreed and went on to discuss some of the “events and symposia” held up here that he is fond of, like “The Lighter Side of Bernie Madoff, Kabbalah for Gentiles and my favorite, My Mother, My Type.”

We would have linked those events Bill mentioned, but we couldn’t find them on the calendar. Maybe they already passed? We did however find these suitable replacements:

  • “Meals, Memoirs and My Mother” with Gourmet editor Ruth Reichl: Apr 20
  • After the Huppah: Apr 21
  • Vince Farrell: An Overview of the Economic Environment and Some Investment Ideas: May 12
