Soho gallery The Drawing Center, located at 35 Wooster Street just south of Broome, is hosting a new show, Day Job, December 10 - February 3. The exhibit will feature “works commissioned through an open call to artists currently in The Drawing Center’s Viewing Program.”
Jonathan Wahl‘s “Eye of Mordor” (seen above) is part of the exhibit. Regular readers of the 92Y Blog will recall Wahl is Director, Jewelry & Metalsmithing at 92Y Jewelry Center and a talented and acclaimed artist.
The opening reception for Day Job is next Thursday, December 9. For art afficianados, or fans of Jonathan’s work, don’t forget to stop by 92Y Faculty Annual Art Show which opened Wednesday night. Wahl’s Silhouette Horse Pendant is on display, along with work from other faculty artists including award-winning jewelers, Whitney Independent Scholars, Chelsea innovators, and acclaimed print-makers!
