Wednesday, May 10 was just another night at Makor—panel discussion on celebrity gossip in the lecture hall, eclectic bands playing their hearts out in the Café, indie film and discussion in the screening room—but for one reason this night was different from all other nights. We had a video camera.
The idea was to capture a little of what makes Makor a special place. It’s a spirited hub of activity, from music and film to lectures and leisure. In one night we featured: Peter Hyman (author), Jessica Coen (Gawker), Kelly Will (Star magazine), Jessica Seigel (NYU journalism professor), Luminescent Orchestrii, Warsaw Village Band, The Holy Land (film), actor Saul Stein and Isil Bagdadi of Cavu Pictures, plus lots of hanging out. You should stop by sometime.
One note about the video: the sound is a little low in some places so don’t be afraid to crank this.
