Shea Stadium Trivia Update

image
The Beatles at Shea Stadium, 1965

Loge13.com, a New York Mets fan blog chronicling the last days of Shea Stadium, has pointed out a flaw in our recent 92Y eNews Trivia Challenge:

Shea Stadium Trivia Challenge
Shea Stadium, home of the New York Mets, will close its doors after the current baseball season. For 45 years it has been the site of Amazin’ memories. On September 7, Mets legends Keith Hernandez, Darryl Strawberry and Ron Darling will share their own in a conversation moderated by Mets play-by-play announcer Gary Cohen at the 92nd Street Y.

It wasn’t all home runs and “a little roller up along first” in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series that made Shea special. In 1965, a year after Shea opened, the Beatles became the first pop group to play a concert at a U.S. sports stadium. From the following list, who did not play a concert at Shea Stadium?
A) The Who
B) Aerosmith
C) Janis Joplin
D) Jimi Hendrix
E) The Rolling Stones

We won’t give it away but there are now TWO acceptable answers to the challenge. You can enter here for a chance to win two tickets to the Shea talk. If you want to receive our regular 92Y Trivia Challenges, exclusive Y offers and updates, sign up for our Highlights eNews.
