Tikkun Leil Shavuot

Shavuot

Pictures from a Shavuot street fair on Emek Refaim in Jerusalem yesterday

The Jewish Blogosphere is abuzz with Shavuot celebrations, toasts, memories and cheesecake on the mind. Shavuot celebrates the day God gave the Torah to the Israelites at Mount Sinai, and begins tonight at sundown. Here’s a good blog reading list for diverse perspectives on this joyous holiday.

But tonight, you are invited to stay up all night with us here at the Y at our free all-night Tikkun affair featuring Judy Gold, Lisa Kron, Sherry Glaser, Amichai Lau-Lavie’s Storahtelling, Rabbi Jen Krause, Israeli dancing, belly dancing, movies, food, study and tons more. Doors open at 9:30pm and the festivities will end on the rooftop at dawn.
