Wainy Days Are Here Again

imageComic and previous guest at 92YTribeca David Wain, (you remember the video, yes?) was interviewed by TV Squad recently. There has been a lot of excitement over MTV’s recent announcement of a DVD release date for the critically acclaimed sketch comedy series The State that Wain starred in with pals Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter and a host of others. The announcement leaked early when cast member Joe Lo Truglio posted the information on his blog, because Wain tells TV Squad, “someone forgot to tell him to keep his mouth shut till today!”

Now that the DVD release is finally happening, Wain is happy to discuss new projects with his fans, instead of having to answer the same question over and over again regarding the release of The State. TV Squad asked, “what do you hope that new topic will be?”

To which David replied:

I’m hoping the new topic will be “When is there gonna be a DVD of your award winning critically acclaimed hysterical web series Wainy Days?” And I’ll probably answer them by saying, “There are five new episodes premiering May 7th and a DVD is in the works.” ... We’ll be doing a Wainy Days Live show in [New York City], May 7th at 92YTribeca.

That’s right, you read that right. David Wain’s new project is in the works, and he’ll be doing a Wainy Days Live show at 92YTribeca on May 7. That’s what he wants to talk about, in case you run into him on the street.
